    Carpet
    Broadloom to Modular

Carpet is made in three general constructions: plush, loop, and combined cut-loop. Most yarns are made of a variety of chemicals: Nylon, Polyester, Olefin and blends (new advancements). Wool yarn is also available. The backings on carpets have new technologies that offer improved benefits. Patterns are the new trend, some subtle, some bold. Do not buy based upon factory warranty claims. They are “limited warranties” where many real-life problems will not qualify!

    Ceramic & Stone Tile
    Flooring
    Walls
    Counters
    Showers
Being in the South-west and having concrete sub floors, the most purchased hard surface has been ceramic tile. With newer computer controlled manufacturing, the styles and colors are now super realistic. The categories vary greatly: Glazed, unglazed, polished, standard clay body and porcelain body. The locations vary: from the floor to up the walls, indoor to outdoor and home to commercial properties. Chuck can give the pro’s and con’s for the style, quality and color that you choose to install on your floors, counters, showers, fireplaces or wherever! Remember, your sub floor needs special attention or the new installation can fail
    Wood Flooring
    Laminate to Real
Even though few Arizonans will select wood as their new flooring, those who do will be hearing the raves about that beautiful wood floor! Care MUST be taken to know the correct wood product and its proper installation system!

Varieties: Real (solid ¾” thick) wood, engineered real wood (layers in plies with the top as the species and stain.) It can be either Pre-finished or Job-site sanded and stained. And the newer style, called Laminate, are “pictures” adhered to a wood core and finished with a thick protective top layer. They look like real wood and cost ½ of real products.

Care must be taken to protect all wood flooring from heavy furniture, appliances etc. The MOST important variable (other than stain and species) is moisture! We must protect this wood investment with a proper moisture barrier under your new floor.
    Vinyl
    Sheet
    Squares
    Luxury Vinyl Tile
This category has been on the uptrend due to it being a good value. Ceramic tile and wood can be a better solution for your floor but are more costly. Most sheet vinyl products are used for short term flooring (less than 5 years.) If you desire a more commercial or “retro” look – vinyl squares are still an option.
    Specialty Products
This group includes: Rubber tile – Linoleum – Real Cork – Bamboo, etc. Because these products have special needs – Chuck will advise and educate you on their requirements for a successful and long lasting installation.
